Ionic modal custom css

the modal is

const modal = await this.modalController.create({
component: BookViewComponent,
componentProps: {
bookName: ‘dfdsfdsf’,
id: ‘dafsdfsd’
},
cssClass: ‘book-view-modal’
});
modal.present();

But still the size is not changed. Can somebody help
