Wrong margin-top calculation on scroll-content with Ionic 3

@Xiwi wrote:

This is a random issue on Ionic 3. I have no size defined for the header, just the font-size for which I’m using vmax (but I faced the same with px).

BAD (margin-top: 134):

OK (margin-top: 80px):

As you can see both headers are the same. I don’t really need scroll. If I can’t fix this I wouldn’t mind to make the content not scrollable. Is there any defined class/component for this?

Show an error page for invalid segments

@ShadSterling wrote:

I don’t like that I can go to http://localhost:8100/#/asdfasd and get the normal start page. I want that to be an error page.

I tried to implement this by creating a NoSuchPageComponent and setting rootPage to that in the AppComponent. (I also made NoSuchPageComponent#ionViewDidEnter navigate to the home page when no segment is present.)

This works when the browser navigates to http://localhost:8100/#/asdfasd, but if I first open any real page and then change the address bar to http://localhost:8100/#/asdfasd, I get the Ionic error handler showing “Uncaught (in promise): invalid views to insert”

  1. Is there another way this is expected to be done?
  2. Is there somewhere I can catch that error?
  3. Does this have anything to do with lazy loading?

How can I make this work as I intend?

Here’s the full error message, modified to prevent link recognition because I’m not allowed to post more than 10 links:

SVG images served from remote serve not rendering in Android native build

@rodneyjoyce wrote:

Hi,

SVG images that are coming from a remote server do not appear in my native Android build, but they do appear in the Progressive Web App (https://m.quemesa.com). See the images below

If I change the image type to png then they do render correctly in the native build, so it is something to do with the SVG file type. I use other SVG icons which work fine. however they are embedded in the native build (not on a remote server)

Important to mention: I am using the Ionic Image Loader package to asyncronously load the SVG images (the loader is working fine with PNG files as I use it for all other remote images).

I will also raise this issue there as it is probably related.

So I updated to the latest Ionic 3 release and now I’m getting an issue on a production build.

Is there anyway I can get more information on this error that’s being thrown?

Pressing back in browser URL changes but view doesn’t (Tabs)

@ccdex_chris wrote:

Hello,

I’m trying to resolve an odd bug with changing pages. This bug is reproducible when creating a super template in 3.9.2.

When navigating from a single pages to another single page (#/settings -> #/profile) and then pressing the back button on the browser, the expected happens. The view changes and the URL changes.

The issue is when doing this same thing except the first page is in a tab. (#/tab/feed/feed -> #/settings) Pressing the back button changes the URL but does not change the view.

How do I fix this?

Overall, I’m looking for a solution to load the app at a specific link to be used as a PWA, but it seems like the Nav In Ionic has some serious bugs.

Having one single <ion-nav> in the app results in a URL like:

But adding another <ion-nav> results in the URL blowing up like this:

… where nav/n4 is the secondary <ion-nav>

Any way to get around this so the second Nav doesn’t show in the URL?

Multiple Push Notification Issue on Android - Only Last One Shows

My app is behaving different on Android but works just fine on iOS.

So, when my app backend is sending multiple Push Notifications to a particular User/Device, only the last received message is retained in Status/Notification Bar in Android. It works as expected in iOS (i.e. I can see all the incoming push notifications in the Status/Notification area).

It works with no issues when the app is running and in the foreground.

I came across following and going to see if I can change the Notification ID of an outgoing push notifications. I thought of putting it here in case anybody has a different solution.

Thanks.

CORS problem in app with Access-Control-Allow-Origin

@louwi wrote:

Hello, everybody,

I have created a rest api on my server to do some tests following Matt’s tutorial on youtube:
Ionic Creator Tutorials // Using APIs with Angular $http // Part 1 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJotOLNrM8M)

I just want to try sending a couple of data from a form and receive a response.
When I send the data to my server I get this error in the network console:
Failed to load https://mydomain.com/usersonapis: Response to preflight request doesn’t pass access control check: No ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ header is present on the requested resource. Origin ‘https://creator.ionic.io’ is therefore not allowed access.

I tried to give access to https://creator.ionic.io using .htaccess but it doesn’t work.

Using an chrome extension to send data via json (postman) works perfectly.

Using this app, the data is send like this:
POST /clients/web/usersonapis HTTP/1.1
Host: mydomain. com
Content-Type: application/json
Cache-Control: no-cache
Postman-Token: 03764585-20c4-70bc-f92a-c580ba7fcbce
{
“username”:“dumb.”
“pass”:“t3stp4ss”
}

Can someone give me a hint as to what configuration I should apply on my server to avoid this error?
Thanks.

There are two ionic native in-app purchase plugins. Is one significantly better than the other? I am initially interested in letting users buy an upgrade on Android and iOS and I know I have to provide a restore purchase functionality but I am not looking to do anything fancy.

In App Purchase was updated on github on Sep. 4, has a mock and has a comment about looking for maintainers. In App Purchase 2 was updated on github 22 days ago.

Hey everyone, I’m facing some issues when I try to deploy on ios platform.
I’m using ionic refresher on my ionic app. When I deploy it on an android and browser platform it works as expected but on IOS it doesn’t work (the loading animation doesn’t even appear). This is the code:

app.component.ts file:

doRefresh(refresher) {
    setTimeout(() => {
      this.mostrarPaginasDesdeUsuario();
      refresher.complete();
    }, 1000);
  }

mostrarPaginasDesdeApp(interesesDesdeApp) {
    this.pages = [];
    this.pages = [{ title: 'Inicio', component: 'HomeTabsPage', icon: 'home' }];
    if (interesesDesdeApp != undefined) {
      for (let i = 0; i < interesesDesdeApp.length; i++) {
        if (interesesDesdeApp[i] == "tour") this.pages.push({ title: 'Tour Virtual', component: 'AQuienAcudirPage', icon: 'pin' });
        if (interesesDesdeApp[i] == "quien") this.pages.push({ title: '¿A quién acudir?', component: 'AQuienAcudirPage', icon: 'contact' });
        if (interesesDesdeApp[i] == "otros") this.pages.push({ title: 'Otros Servicios', component: 'OtrosServiciosPage', icon: 'information-circle' });
        if (interesesDesdeApp[i] == "restaurantes") this.pages.push({ title: 'Restaurantes', component: 'RestaurantesPage', icon: 'restaurant' });
        if (interesesDesdeApp[i] == "sitios") this.sitiosDeInteres = true;
        else this.sitiosDeInteres = false;
      }
    }
  }

app.html

<ion-content>
    <ion-refresher (ionRefresh)="doRefresh($event)">
      <ion-refresher-content pullingIcon="arrow-dropdown" refreshingSpinner="circles" refreshingText="Actualizando...">
      </ion-refresher-content>
    </ion-refresher>
    <ion-list>
      <ion-item *ngFor="let page of pages" (click)="openPage(page.component)" menuClose>
        <ion-icon item left name="{{page.icon}}"> </ion-icon>
        {{page.title}}
      </ion-item>
      <ion-list id="sidenav" *ngIf="sitiosDeInteres">
        <button ion-item (click)="menuItemHandler()">
          <ion-icon item left name="map"> </ion-icon>
          Sitios de Interés
        </button>
        <ion-item-group submenu-item *ngIf="showSubmenu">
          <ion-item *ngFor="let item of items" (click)="openPage(item.component)" menuClose>
            <ion-icon item left name="{{item.icon}}"> </ion-icon>
            {{item.title}}
          </ion-item>
        </ion-item-group>
      </ion-list>
    </ion-list>
  </ion-content>

Thanks in advance!
